Stocks lost ground negligibly yesterday in a market that was almost a duplicate of the slow, draggy affair of the day before. The turnover on the Stock Exchange was about 700,000 shares; the price of fifty selected stocks averaged 17 cents net lower at the close than at the end of the day before, after the usual calculations.
