CHIHUAHUA, Mex., Dec. 23. -- An American who has been ten days with the insurrection forces returned to-day bringing news that the latter recently executed ten civilians hostile to the revolt. The number included a Judge.

Business on the Stock Exchange yesterday was obviously influenced by the approaching three day recess. The trading has been in the hands of professional speculators for some time past, and owing to their present desire seems to be to secure any profits accruing to them or to go over the holidays with reduced commitments.

Yesterday's lifeless market, on the very eve of the triple holiday, was plainly foreshadowed by the diminishing business and narrowing price movements of the earlier days of the week. There has of course, been no public participation to speak of in Stock Exchange business for a long time past, and apparently traders on the floor and speculators in the various offices through the Street have at last grown tired of dealing exclusively with one another.
